Tour Highlights

Itinerary Overview

Day 1.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro International airport and transfer to a Hotel in Arusha. This day I will advise you to be faster getting out of the plane at JRO and get to the line for visa or stamp your visa and pick your luggage before getting out. It normally takes longer for people to get out because of long queue for visa and stamp your passport. You will see our driver with the sign reading “WALKING TANZANIA” to meet you.

Day 2.

Pick clients from the hotel after breakfast, drive to Serengeti national park through Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will have time to stop at the Ngorongoro gate for signing and at the rim of the crater there will be another stop to see the Crater if the weather is clear. On the way to Serengeti, game viewing with picnic lunch on the way. Late evening drive to Tented camp or Hotel for leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 3.

Spend the whole day in this famous park searching for Zebras and Wildebeest migration followed by predators like Lion, Leopard and Cheetah with picnic lunch. Late evening drive back to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4.

After breakfast, do the final bit of game drive as we are heading to the Seronera airport to fly to Arusha or leave early after breakfast and drive straight to Arusha with packed lunch. Evening drive to the airport to fly back home. This will depend on your flight time of the day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa for Tanzania?+
Most travellers require a tourist visa, obtainable on arrival or online via e‑Visa. Check latest entry requirements.
When is the best time to do a Safari?
While Tanzania is a year-round safari destination, the dry season (June to October) offers the best wildlife viewing as animals gather around waterholes and vegetation is less dense.
How fit should I be for the trek?
Moderate fitness is sufficient. The climb is not technically extreme but requires stamina for long hours and steep sections.
What should I pack for a safari in Tanzania?
Key essentials include neutral-coloured clothing (e.g., khaki, olive, beige), sturdy walking shoes, a hat, sunscreen, binoculars, a camera, a light jacket for evenings, and any personal medications. Many lodges offer laundry services, so pack light.
How many days do I need for a meaningful safari experience?
For a comfortable exploration of Tanzania’s major wildlife areas, we recommend 7-10 days. Shorter trips (3-5 days) are possible if focusing on a single park, but a longer stay allows for a more relaxed pace and deeper immersion.
What types of accommodations and vehicles are used?
Safari accommodation ranges from mobile tented camps and standard lodges to luxury camps. Vehicles are typically 4 × 4 open-top or with pop-up roofs, operated by experienced driver-guides familiar with local terrain and wildlife behaviour.
Is Tanzania safe for safari travellers?
Yes — Tanzania is considered safe for safari travel when basic precautions are followed. Use reputable operators, follow your guide’s instructions in the bush, secure valuables in lodges, and take sensible health precautions.
Can I customise my safari itinerary?
Absolutely. We can tailor trips to your interests, budget and travel dates. Whether you would like to focus on wildlife, culture, photography or relaxation, a personalised itinerary ensures a meaningful experience.
What is the terrain and vegetation along the route?
You pass through multiple vegetation zones: montane forest, moorland, alpine desert and volcanic slopes.
